From cradle to grave (literally grave…errr relatively)

For the past nearly 1/3 of a year, Sheri and I started viewing, as Lost virgins, this fantastic series from episode 1 of season 1…and last night we wrapped up the last episode of season 4 and are officially caught up. I cannot wait until season 5 starts in a few weeks.
I always knew that this is a show that would really kill us and the only reason I can think that we hadn’t watched the show up to this point is that “The Island Did Not Want Us to Watch it Until Now”. That or when it first started we were on our way to insanity with a 5, a 4 and a 2 year old…I was changing jobs and we were just contemplating putting our house on the market for the move a few clicks north.
The Island choosing us is more fun though…
As I type this, I’m trying to think of a television series (serial drama oriented) that I would say was or is better than Lost. As Sayed would say “Of Course you cannot”. I dig 24, I liked Sopranos (but always thought it was over-rated), I love Rescue Me, I thought the first season of Deadwood was incredible (I’ll watch season 2 & 3 someday), and we have thoroughly enjoyed Dexter…but none of these, IMHO, are nearly as enjoyable and smart as Lost.
I’m afraid that after the series wraps up in 2010, I’ll find myself having a Lost-jones, much like my Harry Potter-jones.
